There are about 15+ best Naval Architecture colleges in India. Among them, 10 colleges are owned by public/government organisations, and 7 colleges are privately owned. JEE Main, AP EAMCET, TNEA, JEE Advanced, etc. are some of the widely accepted entrance exams in top Naval Architecture colleges in India. Some of the popular colleges include IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, Jadavpur University, Andhra University Visakhapatnam, Academy of Maritime Education and Training, and many others.

The Academy of Maritime Education and Training (AMET) University in Chennai has a 60% placement rate for naval architecture students. 

 The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA and the highest is 14 LPA. 

 Top recruiting companies include: Maersk Line, V Ships, Home, Synergy.

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category are - 3287 for OBC, 1796 for SC, 901 for ST and 1373 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
