NIOS is an institution that worked under MHRD of Govt. of India. It is purely recognised institution that accepted by any other institution as well. Validity and applicability is as same as any other board. You can get admission to BBA courses in government colleges through NIOS results as they commonly accept it. For private universities, you may need to enquire and get sure about admission.

Students have to pay an exam fee to appear for the class 12 examination conducted by NIOS. Failing to do so may lead to unwanted hurdles. If a candidate has forgotten to pay the class 12 NIOS fees then he/ she has two options and they are as mentioned below:
- Students can apply for the ODES exam which is conducted in the next month of NIOS examination.
- The other option available for the student is he/she can wait for the next half-yearly exam.

The National School of Open Schooling offers a number of vocational and community-oriented courses. The books are easily available online at the official websitr of NIOS. You can also get the hard copy of the study material from the regional office of NIOS as well.

The passing marks for the NIOS 10th exam are the same as NIOS 12th exams:
- A minimum of 33% marks in the aggregate (Theory + Practicals where applicable) for all subjects combined.
- A minimum of 33% marks separately in both theory and practical parts of a subject that has both components.

The NIOS Class 12 exams for 2024 are happening in two phases:
- Practical Exams: These have already been conducted. The NIOS practical exams for Class 10 and 12 were held from March 11th, 2024 to March 27th, 2024.
- Theory Exams: The theory exams are scheduled for April 2024. The specific dates haven't been officially announced yet, but they are likely to be released soon on the NIOS website in March 2024.
