NIT Agartala provides scholarships both merit-based and need-based. There is a total of 11 types of scholarships provided by NIT Agartala. Some of them include Post Matric Scholarships (ST/ SC/ OBC), Minority Scholarships, Central Sector Scholarships (SC/ ST), National Handicapped Financed Development Cooperation, North Eastern Scholarships, Special Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region Under UGC, etc.

The infrastructure of NIT Agartala is good. Wi-Fi facility is available on campus including hostels. The labs are well-equipped and the classrooms are very big. Other facilities include co-curricular activities such as games and sports, debates, cultural functions, essay competitions, drama competitions, rallies on various themes, NSS programmes, etc.

BTech is the flagship course of NIT Agartala. The institute offers BTech in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Production Engineering, and Bioengineering. The duration of the course is for four years. The entrance exams accepted include JEE Main.

NIT Agartala is much developed than Nagaland. So you should prefer NIT Agartala although you're getting a lower branch. But if you're interested in studying CIVIL engineering only then go for Nagaland, College doesn't matter much.

Yes, definitely, civil is the oldest branch at NITA (almost 52 years), faculty, labs, academic curriculum and peers are nice. Placements are very nice, I mean not 100% but if that is your goal then getting into a core company is not tough, and besides you can always land a job into IT at NITA, no big task.

You can choose between NIT Silchar and NIT Agartala for B.Tech Civil Engineering (CE), both of which are top NITs. Here are some criteria you can use to choose where to apply for admission:

According to the NIRF report for 2022 and available data, the placement at NIT Agartala for B.Tech. Is as follows: 1. The average salary package offered to B.Tech graduates is around INR 7 LPA. 2. Around 525 students out of a total of 645 students get campus placement in various companies in the 2021 batch. 3. The graduates have been placed in companies like ALSTOM, Larsen & Toubro, and Capgemini. 4. Some of the students preferred higher studies like MS and PhDs from foreign institutions. 5.
