The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, opening rank was 43698 and closing rank was 73635. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 54043 and 108096. To apply for the National Institute of Technology Agartala BTech course, candidates must visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) to apply for the JEE Main entrance test. The final selection is based on Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process. The institute-specific qualifying cutoff is announced after the declaration of JEE Main results to manage the seat allotment process.

This is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering continues to grow in India. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. So, considering the previous year Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks, candidates seeking admission to IIIT Allahabad must secure a rank over and above 4800 and 9600 for the General ALL India category candidates.
