I am absolutely satisfied with my college. My best decision was taking admission in NIT.
Placements: Around 90 percent of students are placed. The highest package is around 52 LPA. Microsoft is one of the top hiring companies. Around 50 students get internships. The top role offered is Software Development Engineer (SDE). At my college, the off-campus placement conditions are also good. There is a good hackathon culture.
Infrastructure: We at NIT Agartala have three hostels, two for boys and one for girls. RNT hostels are for first and fourth year students. Aryabhatta hostel is for second and third year students. The condition of the RNT hostel is very good as it is new, but the Aryabhatta hostel is not that good. Mess food is also average.
Faculty: Teachers from ECE are helpful, but opinions are mixed. Some courses are not very relevant according to industry needs. Especially in ECE, where the old curriculum includes digital, analog, and control systems. Labs are also not very good, as they mostly follow old experiments without much innovation.

A place for overall growth.
Placements: Total strength in ECE is about 110 students every year, students (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th). In 2026, among 110 students, 86% students got placed on campus in reputed companies. Top recruiters are LNT, BHEL, Bharat Electronics, Microsoft, Google, Siemens, HDFC, Oracle, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available everywhere inside. The large campus is spread over 365 acres. Hostel is far better than other NITs. In 1st and 2nd years, you live with 2 students in a single room with 2 beds and 1 common table. Hospital is open 24/7. For different sports and games, we have different grounds.
Faculty: Almost all teachers have completed their Ph.Ds or Master's from different IITs, NITs, and some of them from foreign countries as well. So, we don't have to raise concerns regarding their knowledge. Course curriculum is relevant in every aspect. Semester exams are not as difficult as JEE.
Other: I chose this course due to my keen interest in Electronics and a good number of packages as well. The college has a strong alumni network that triggers me to improve day by day. Events and fests are held properly, and other colleges also participate in them.

I’m absolutely satisfied with the faculty and good placement records.
Placements: Almost 70 to 80 percent of the students are placed in this course, with the highest package 32 LPA and average package is around 6 LPA, and the lowest package is around 4 to 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like amazon apple Microsoft, and some other visits the campus to hire the students. Almost every student in the course receives an internship offer at the end of the course.
Infrastructure: We have good infrastructure surrounded by green places, and all labs and the library are well maintained with air conditioning. They provide quality and healthy food to the students. We have a 24/7 Wi-Fi facility inside the campus and a 24/7 ambulance service for any emergency situations.
Faculty: We have very knowledgeable and qualified faculty on campus, some of whom are very friendly with their students. We don't have any special curriculum on campus, it follows the regular curriculum, which is followed by every college. Regarding difficulty in exams, it all depends on slots, sometimes it feels difficult, and other times it is not like that.

Satisfied with the campus life but dissatisfied with the placement scenario.
Placements: In 2025, from my branch, Electronics and Communication Engineering, around 70% of students are placed, but most of them are placed in BDA (Sales) roles. The highest package is around 43 LPA from VISA, the average is around 6-7 LPA, and the lowest is around 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: In my course, Electronics and Communication Engineering, our department was quite great compared to other departments in terms of lab facilities, Wi-Fi, and classrooms. But in the hostel, sometimes the food quality was not that good. There are a few games and sports that the college organizes, but most of the sports are organized by the students themselves.
Faculty: In our Department of ECE, most of the teachers are very helpful, not only in college studies but also in extracurricular activities like coding contests, where they discuss strategies with us and guide us on how to apply. Regarding the course curriculum, it is relevant nowadays, especially with the semiconductor industry booming; this course has become essential. In our department, the exams were quite tough, and the passing percentage was around 40%.
Other: My first choice was the CSE branch, but I didn't get it, unfortunately. Then I decided to opt for the Electronics and Communication Engineering branch, as it was my second choice.

It has a great college life, but something is missing.
Placements: Around 90% of students got placed in the ECE branch. A few students get placed at Nvidia. In addition to ECE, other branches like CSE (Computer Science and Engineering), EE (Electrical Engineering), and ME (Mechanical Engineering) also achieved around an 80% placement rate.
Infrastructure: The campus is beautiful and green. The need is to maintain the area. A huge part of the area under the college is covered with unwanted plants, and it just needs to be well-maintained. The another beautiful thing is that the internet speed here is not pleasing, and we have to face problems related to the internet. We are only provided 2 GB of data for Wi-Fi.
Faculty: There are regular classes, but sometimes due to bad weather, classes get cancelled as day scholars can't attend classes. When it comes to examination, we need to study regularly in classes, and that's more than enough. We need to be consistent in our studies. Like, giving 2-3 hours daily with classes is more than enough.
Other: There are not a lot of fests and events in this college. I don't know why, but I hope it improves in the upcoming years.

Overall, the college is very good for its infrastructure and campus life.
Placements: The placement is improving day by day, now more in branches like ME, PE, CE, CHE, etc. The college possesses a National rank (NIRF) of 81. 2025 few years back, the placements were not that good, but in recent years, it has improved with the highest package of 52 LPA.
Infrastructure: One of the best infrastructures in the northeast with lush green campus and a lot of diversity with large buildings with proper equipment for each branch, with one of the best sports facilities with a swimming pool and one of the largest sports complexes in India, and a gym.
Faculty: The faculty is well-educated with a well-established examination system. Our exam schedule contains one midterm test and one end-semester test at the end of the semester. According to the stipulated syllabus, our academic curriculum also consists of many class tests and quizzes.
Other: The campus organizes one of the biggest fests called Moksha, with celebrities invited, along with various club activities.

Satisfied with campus things and hoping to get a good placement in 2028.
Placements: In the 2023 placement drive at NIT Agartala, the electronics and communication engineering (ECE) branch achieved a placement rate of 85.84%. The highest salary package offered in 2023 was INR 52 LPA, average package was INR 13.83 LPA, and the lowest package was INR 3.5 LPA. Google, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, L&T, and various PSUs are top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: Facilities and accommodation all together maintain a standard level, but in the first year we faced difficulties in building which is named new building but turned out to be an old building instead. Hope so in second year we will get a good classroom in our ECE department.
Faculty: Except some every professor is supporting and well qualified. The course curriculum is relevant and really makes sense for industrial training. Semester exams are overall easy. In case a student studies utilising his/her full potential. Otherwise, it may seem hard to some students.
Other: I chose this course because after computer science, this was a great field to grab jobs and other opportunities in the future. Also, NIT Agartala has a vast campus with greenery. The events, fests, and extracurricular activities are next level.

A balanced college experience with decent placements.
Placements: Almost 90 percent of students get placed as per the last placement session with a sufficient number of companies visiting for campus placements. The highest CTC offered is 52 LPA while the lowest is 5 LPA and the average stands at 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Google, Microsoft, VISA, PhonePe, Oracle, PayPal, Cloudera, GlobalLogic, Texas Instruments, TATA Motors, Deloitte and ICICI Bank. While not all students secure on-campus summer internships, a few receive opportunities from reputed companies such as Cisco, Microsoft, Google, PayPal and Piramal. The top roles offered include Software Development Engineer SDE and Analyst with most core companies providing the Graduate Engineer Trainee GET role.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite decent. The hostels are good with the only drawback being double occupancy until the 3rd year. Wi-Fi facility is reliable but comes with a daily limit of 2GB. Labs have adequate instruments and the library provides access to numerous books by both Indian and foreign authors. The mess offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food options. The campus includes a hospital, a shopping complex with all basic amenities and a well-maintained sports complex. The sports facilities include a football ground, a basketball court, a badminton court, a tennis court, and a large lawn.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable but the only drawback is that the curriculum for ECE is slightly outdated. The semester exams are of moderate difficulty and most students clear them easily in one attempt. A student fails only if they do not study at all.
Other: There are two flagship events of the year. The tech fest Aayam and the cultural fest Moksha. Notable public figures like Anubhav Dubey, Arsh Goal, Manan Verma, Shraddha Khapra, Dr. Vijendra Chauhan, and Ashneer Grover visit during the fests to deliver speaker sessions. Scholarship opportunities are available under the national scholarship scheme for a diverse set of students. A fee waiver is also provided for students whose annual family income is less than 5 lakhs.

No, first you are not qualifying the criteria for 10 + 2 percentile, and second you have to give JEE Mains for sure.

No, not at all, you have to apply for JEE Main to take admission in prestigious NITs, and even you are not following the percentile score for 10 + 2.
