JEE Main List of CFTIs offering admission

For the first time in 2021, Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main will be conducted in four phases/sessions: February, March, April and May. Of these sessions, February March sessions have already been conducted. JEE Main 2021 April session, which was scheduled to be conducted from April 27 to 30, has now been postponed. The information has been shared by the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal 'Nishank'. The decision has been taken due to the growing cases of Covid-19 across the country. However, there is no information regarding the May session and JEE Advanced scheduled to be conducted on July 3, 2021.

National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the list of JEE Main 2021 participating institutes online mode on the official website. JEE Main participating institutes will accept admissions on the basis of JEE Main ranks of candidates. Candidates will be able to check the participating institutes of JEE Main 2021 to know which colleges they can apply for admissions. JEE Main participating institutes include 31 National Institute of Technology (NITs), 25 Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs), and 28 Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). Many states also offer admissions on the basis of the national level entrance examination.

After clearing JEE Main 2021, candidates will be eligible to apply for admissions at the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) in India. However, after clearing JEE Advanced students can hope to gain admission into the various Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad.

FAQS Regarding the JEE Main CFTIs List

How many institutes are participating in JEE Main 2021?

Through JEE Main 2021 scores, the candidates will be able to apply for admissions into 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 28 CFTIs. Various state and private colleges also give admissions on the basis of JEE Main scores.

Which states offer admission on the basis of JEE Main?

Engineering colleges in the states including Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand and Rajasthan offer admission on the basis of JEE Main 2021 scores.

Do private institutes accepts the JEE Main score?

Yes, many private institutes such as Amity University, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Galgotias University, Lovely Professional University, Nirma University and many others accept admissions based on candidates’ JEE Main score.

What is the admission process for JEE Main 2021 participating institutes?

After qualifying for JEE Main 2021, candidates have to register for JoSAA. After registration, candidates will need to choose colleges and courses as per their eligibility and rank in the exam. JoSAA will release the allotment result as per a candidate's merit, preferences and availability of seats.

JEE Main 2021 result date for the February session has been released on March 8.

Who can participate in JoSAA Counselling?

All the candidates who have qualified for JEE Main 2021 or JEE Advanced 2021 will be eligible to register and appear for JoSAA 2021 counselling and seat allotment procedure.

How many rounds are there in JoSAA Counselling?

The admission process for admissions in 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs, and 28 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs) is done by JoSAA in seven rounds.

Is JoSAA 2021 liable to prepare/announce JEE (Main) 2021 ranks?

No, JoSAA is not responsible for preparing or announcing JEE Main 2021 ranks. They are prepared by NTA.

Is there a possibility that a candidate’s name appears in one or more rank lists?

Yes, it is very much possible that a candidate’s name appears in more than one rank list. It depends on the candidate’s category and physical disability status along with his/her performance in the entrance exam.
