The NIT Srinagar JEE Mains Cutoff 2024 was released for Round 1. The Cutoff was released for different specialisations across different categories. For the ST AI category candidates, the most competitive course was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, with the closing Cutoff of 1031. The easiest specialisation was BTech in Metallurgical and Materials engineering. The Cutoff ranks ranged between 1031 and 2981 for the same.

NIT Srinagar has various student clubs functioning in the institute. The clubs are well organized and managed by the students themselves for the guidance provided by the coordinator. NIT Srinagar has separate accommodation for boys and girls. The institute has a well-equipped hostel with all the necessary amenities offered to the students. It includes a computer room, reading room, separate warden quarter and guard rooms at the hostel. The hostel has all the facilities offered to the students with a variety of food options available at the mess.
