Students arriving at the Mangalore International Airport can take an around 30-minute drive to reach the NITK campus. Further, students opting for rail travel can arrive at Surathkal Railway Station and take a barely 10-minute drive to reach the campus of NIT Surathkal. Being located in a convenient setting, the students at NITK would experience accessibility and well-connected facilities at the campus.

Students can participate in the various events and workshops organized by the Placement Cell and can avail the benefits of experiencing holistic development. NIT Surathkal grants admission to two MSc courses based on candidates' performance in the IIT JAM entrance exam, followed by the CCMN counselling process. For 2025 admission, the Round 1 closing ranks varied between 868 and 920 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. Of all the MSc specialisations, the one with the lowest cutoff rank of 868 was the MSc in Chemistry. For other specialisations along with their GATE CCMN first-round closing ranks, check out the table provided below:

You can get CSE in GFTI as per the JoSSA counselling cutoff last year. You cannot get any branch, like CSE, ECE in NIT at this rank.

The total tuition fee to pursue an MBA at NITK is INR 4 lakh. Other than this, the fee structure includes other charges such as admission fees, hostel fees, development & training fees, etc. Candidates who wish to know the complete fee structure can visit the official website of the institute.

Yes, MBA is available at NIT Surathkal. It is a PG-level course offered in full-time mode. The duration of this programme is two years. Students enrolled in this programme learn about different domains of Management, such as HR, Finance, and others. Admission to NITK MBA is made based on the overall student profile.

Once all the NIT Surathkal selection rounds are complete, students selected for the MBA programme must present original and self-attested photocopies of documents at the institute. Such candidates are required to bring along the following documents:
