The eligibility criteria for the BA LLB Hons course at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow (NLU Lucknow) are as follows :

• There is no upper age limit for the undergraduate programme in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
• Candidates must have secured 45% marks or its equivalent grade in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination) if they belong to the General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories.
• Candidates must have secured 40% marks or equivalent in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination) if they belong to the SC/ST categories.
• Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April are also eligible to appear in the CLAT examination. However, they shall be required to produce evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
• The result of the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.

The admission to the BA LLB Hons course for the academic year 2024 is based on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), which was conducted on 2 Dec ’23 .

The minimum cutoff for BA LLB at NLU Lucknow in 2023 is not yet available. However, the University of Lucknow will release the BA LLB and LLB cut-offs 2023 during the counselling and admission process . The cut-offs for LU LLB 2023 will depend on various factors such as marks obtained by the candidates, rank, reservation policy, and seat availability . Candidates who fail to clear the LU LLB cut-offs will not be considered for admission .

For the previous year, the cut-off for BA LLB (Hons) at NLU Lucknow closed at 749 in 2022 after Round 4 and in 2021 at 676 . However, it’s important to note that the cut-off changes every year and depends on various factors such as the number of candidates appearing for the entrance exam, marks and rank of the candidates, number of seats offered by the university and its affiliated colleges, college/campus preference given by the candidates, reservation policy of the university, and category of the candidates .

Please note that the minimum eligibility criteria for BA LLB admission is securing a minimum of 45% in the Intermediate/Higher secondary school board (10+2) . For SC/ST candidates, the minimum is 40% marks .
