OET marks are calculated by using a detailed grading system and not a numerical score. For each of the four sub-tests of OET test (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking), there is graded from A (the highest) to E (the lowest). Each grade corresponds to a numerical score range:
- For example "B" is 350 to 440.
These individual sub-test grades are then combined to give your overall OET result, which reflects your communication ability in a healthcare context.

Whether the OET test is hard or easy is very subjective. However, the OET test has been created to test applicants' understanding of the English language as medical professionals. Before booking, applicants need to have a MyOET account other than this, here are important information you should have at the time of OET slot booking
- Your healthcare profession
- Test format selection, whether you'll take OET on Paper, OET on Computer at a Venue, or OET at Home.
