Candidates seeking admission to BSc at Panjab University are required to meet the eligibility criteria. Candidates must have passed the Class 12 examination with at least 40% aggregate in the qualifying exam and passing marks in English.

Punjab University offers scholarships to the BSc programme students who are meritorious or who belong to categories. These scholarships are offered by the University, UGC as well as by various departments of the Government. Panjab University BSc placement data has not been declared by the University. However, according to the students' reviews on the Shiksha page, about 60% - 70% of BSc Medical programme students were placed in different fields. The the highest package offered was INR 10.5 LPA, and the lowest package offered ranged between INR 3 LPA and INR 4 LPA.
