Yes, if students have a valid study permit and are studying for a full-time Degree, Diploma, or any Certificate program, they can work off-campus starting the first day of the semester. Eligible students can work a maximum of 20 hours per week during regular academic studies and full-time during scheduled breaks, however, as per the latest update, international students can work up to 24 hours on a Canadian student visa as of late 2024.
