Admission to a doctorate at TUM requires a university degree completed with above-average results, an equivalent state exam, or a Master’s examination at a university of Applied Science.

• Results are considered to be above average if studies got completed with an average grade of 2.5 or at a minimum passed with a grade of ‘good’. In exceptional cases, your above-average qualifications can also be proven via academic work (e.g. publications) completed after your study course
• A doctorate from TUM needs very good written and spoken English skills. As such there are no minimum scores required for IELTS / TOEFL, etc. for PhD but applicants must be able to speak fluently with the supervisor about their research area during the application interview
• German language skills are highly beneficial

Yes, at LPU, research scholars who are studying full-time can apply for a teaching fellowship once they have finished their coursework. 

The university has introduced a teaching fellowship programme that presents extensive opportunities for Ph.D. candidates to enhance their teaching skills and acquire valuable teaching experience.

The fellowship will be applicable after coursework, you will need to apply for the fellowship within your respective department. The preference will be given to candidates who have qualified for NET/GATE/GPAT and Research Scholars with prior teaching and research experience. The selection panel will conduct interviews for the fellowship, and if you successfully pass the interview, you will become eligible for the teaching fellowship.

 Ph.D. candidates who are selected for this programme are provided with a stipend of 15,600 per month. This stipend not only helps alleviate financial burdens but also recognizes the valuable contributions of these candidates to the university's teaching efforts.

PhD candidates the teaching fellowship further enriches candidates' academic journey and equips them with the necessary tools to make a meaningful impact in the educational landscape, ensuring their success as researchers and educators.
