This will mean identifying the institutions and academics working in the area that you intend to research, and making direct contact with relevant individuals to discuss your work.

The first and basic qualification required for a Ph.D. course is that you must have completed your Master's degree course. To apply for Ph.D. you can either directly apply to the professors of different universities sending them your resume, statement of purpose and your research papers. Or you can appear for UGC-NET examination and then sending your NET scores to the professors under whom you want to undergo your Ph.D. course.

The process requires that you email the research supervisors and share your research ideas and if they like your idea they will accept you. Course duration may vary from 4 to 5 years or more.

Hi Nishi,
I would advise you to pursue your Ph.D from USA. Ph.D program requires you to teach as well and this way you can earn experience and settle there. With current norms, to get a job in USA is difficult.

You can pursue your Ph.D only after you complete your MS, not directly after B.Sc. You can check for integrated programs but hard to find. MS programs will lead to Ph.D anyways. To study Masters in USA one has to obtain a four year Bachelor degree and take the GRE. You must check with the universities for admission requirements and acceptance of your degree, options are available. Most importantly you must focus on your grades. Improve your profile by doing high standard research oriented project work, publications, seminars and lots of extra curricular activities. Check other country options too.
