Dimensional analysis is a method to analyze physical quantities dimensions. It helps in deriving relationships between quantities, converting units and checking the correctness of the equations. NCERT Solutions for Units and Measurements class 11 shows how each physical quantity can be expressed, explains dimensional analysis with examples and uses base dimensions like time (T), length (L) and Mass (M). Dimensional analysis is a useful technique in verifying whether a derived formula is dimensionally consistent. This technique allows one to convert units from one system to another, especially while solving numerical problems. NCERT sol

In the Carnot engine, the maximum possible efficiency operates between two temperatures. It is an ideal heat engine. The efficiency of the Carnot engine only depends on the temperatures of the heat source including T1 and T2. These temperatures should be in Kelvin. No real engine can exceed the efficiency of the Carnot engine.

The temperature remains constant in an isothermal process where heat flows in or out to maintain it. However, no heat exchange occurs in an adiabatic process. Changes to the internal energy happens only from work done.

Internal energy is the total potential energy (from intermolecular forces) and kinetic energy (from particle motion) within a system due to the motion and interactions of its particles. In simple terms, it is the total energy in a system. Internal energy changes when heat is added or removed or when the system performs some work.

Thermodynamics is a part of physics that deals with the relationship between temperature, heat, energy and work. The Thermodynamics concept explains how energy is transferred in physical systems and how it affects matter. The laws of thermodynamics help in understanding phenomena like refrigerators, engines and even biological processes and govern these changes.
