Capacity of a course in any engineering college is approved by AICTE & every college has to work within these limits. Lateral admissions are done directly into the 2nd year. Hence there are many variables & constraints on management to admit students. Due to this there is no fixed quota or capacity to accept students under this category. However as a rule of thumb it can be safe to consider 10% seats of intake in first year as number of seats available for lateral admission. Best wishes to you.
