Production Engineering

Hi Shivang, we don't have industrial production but we have industrial engineering and management. Both are different slightly. By the way, industrial management is okay. If you are preferring BMS, then you can join. But if you are preferring IP then I'd suggest you join some other college.

You have just passed your 12th. There are lots of courses that you can do. You can go for commerce, humanities, fine arts, Science, medical and engineering.
What should matter most is what you like? What is it that you want to become? Go for this.

It will depend on the number of candidates, college in which you want to get the admission and difficulty level of the entrance exam.

M.Tech is the course to do for getting placement. But unfortunately, as per survey done by AICTE, almost 25% students do not get job. May be you can learn foreign language.

Mechanical engineering is the core branch as I am a chemical engineer, and production engineering is a branch of mechanical and chemical engineering. After completing mechanical engineering, you can go in the automobile and production as well, but with the automobile, your field gets narrowed but if you have talent, you should go with the automobile, and in production, you will go in the manufacturing industry for designing.

Any degree in engineering is validated or recognised. So, what you need to see is your interest in the subjects, mechanical is a core branch and will open lots of specialisation at Master's level later. Any specialised degree at Bachelor's level will restrict your options. So, choose carefully.
