Hello, yes sure you will be getting a seat in SASTRA through first counseling but fair chance would be in second because you can have all the departments and you get a choice to pick up the branch of your choice. Good luck.

Only 30% seats are allowed to students based on IPE percentage or any board exams. It may be a tough competition.

Every year the cutoff changes for admission. It totally depends on number of students appearing in the exam. As such particular marks cannot be decided but you can refer previous years opening and closing ranks for B.Tech admission according to the branches which is available in college's official website. Please refer it.

Hello,
You said 430 marks. This means, 86% and this is really enough. So, don't worry if you are confirmed that you are getting marks nearby and you can get admission easily. But try to score more marks in JEE mains as Sastra University gives more preference to JEE mains marks.

Hello, Vasanth,
Lets talk about job opportunities in India: Almost completely none (until you want to be a teacher or have connections in ISRO and HAL).
How do I know that because I am graduating in aerospace engineering.
Reason are:-
1. B.Tech is a basic degree and does not qualify you for any job in Aero industry which needs experts or atleast good people in any specific area.
2. No home based full fledged aerospace industries in India.
3. ISRO or DRDO or HAL maybe your only option if you want to do some serious work in aerospace. Sounds hard enough?
Suggestions:
1. Do a M.Tech from IIT or an MS(would be awesomeee!)
2. Research. Do somethin

Since only 30% of the seats is filled by stream 2, the competition for it is heavier. ICT has a strength of about 60 people per batch, so that would make you compete for the 20 seats. Getting above 97% will keep you in a safer side.
