The Cockrell School of Engineering receives a generous amount of donations from alumni, corporations and friends of the Cockrell School. The school awards scholarships recognizing the academic achievements and leadership potential of future students whose sum is more than USD 10 million to undergraduates in merit-based awards.
Currently enrolled engineering students may complete the Engineering scholarship application by May 1, 2026 to be considered for scholarship awards and renewals the following year.

Yes, students with top ranks in VSAT are eligible for merit-based scholarships. As per the scholarships students can avail upto 100% fee waivers. However, the eligibility criteira, requirements vary for which candidates will have to reach out to the exam body officials. The university publishes the scholarship structure along with the results.

Students must have a minimum CGPA of 3.33 (equivalent to a 'B+' grade average) at the end of Term-3. The family annual combined income for the financial year should be less than INR 10 lakh. To keep the scholarship ongoing for next semester or year, student must pass all exams in first division and not take any study gap. If you fail or take break then university can stop your scholarship for next term. Consider maintaining a good rank throghout the course.
