Under the founders scholarship scheme, SRM University encourages toppers in the qualifying examination or JEE exam to seek admission in the first year of BTech. It also encourages outstanding sports personalities to seek admission in Diploma/ UG/ PG programmes offered at SRM IST.

All the students who join the IISC Bangalore (except for MSc and MMgt programmes/BTech) are eligible for scholarship/ Fellowship from CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/MHRD/AICTE/DAE (NBHM)/ DST as the case may be depending on their mode of entry. Immediately on joining the Institute the students must send the joining report to the concerned authorities/agencies appropriately for activating their scholarship/fellowship.
