Need-Based Waivers: ISB and Corporate donors' together award up to 40 scholarships of INR 5 Lacs each to deserving candidates whose family income is not more than INR 10 Lacs (including applicant's pre-ISB income). Candidates have to submit an essay and proof of income to be eligible for the need-based waiver. Thank you.

Yes, there are plenty of scholarships available at university both sponsored by the government and private. But often these are based on your marks, gender, caste or a combination of some of them. These would depend on the college.

The scholarships are given based on many ways and depends on the level of education also. In government colleges, caste and income based scholarships are given and in private universities and abroad, merit based. Yes, you need to. Most of the reputed private universities conduct their own entrance exams and give scholarships based on the scores in the same. Hence you need to take their exams. There are some universities, which admit based on the board exams scores alone and so such institutes never ask you for any exams.
