I suggest you, mam. Ask your son among these two subjects. In which subject He is most interested. It is better to subject chosen by him because of his interest. Also what He wants to be in the future. If He wants to go In Engineering stream then better to choose maths but If He Wants to Be a Doctor then choose BIo. I want to clear one thing If he chooses maths then there are more chances of a stream after his 12th. But If He chooses Bio then this stream restricts to choose other many courses after 12th. As per my experience I would say that yes, Maths forms an integral part of Engineering. You will be studying Maths during your initial two years after that opting for maths is your choice. I had same concern during my initial days of engineering, But I am glad to say that faculty at my engineering college,i.e. Lovely Professional Uniersity, helped me a lot and Maths became one of the easy to handle subject for me.
