It varies from year to year. In 2015, 70% of the admissions to this programme are based on JEE Main scores & +2 scores, rest 30% seats are filled using only +2 marks. In this 70% seats, the admissions have three quotas: 20% to students who completed +1, +2 education in Trichy/Thanjavur districts, 50% to rest of Tamil Nadu state, 30% to rest of India.

There is no specific syllabus to a BA Degree. However, for the course applied for, the candidate needs to be thorough with the subjects and topics. The entrance exam is generally made on Class XII subjects and topics.
