No, JEE Main score is not considered for admissions in the BE/BTech course at SDM- Institute of Technology. Candidates have to appear for the COMEDK and K-CET exam and fulfil the eligibility criterion for taking admission.

The non- Karnataka students may apply to the BTech courses at SDM- Institute of Technology by submitting a valid COMEDK score and apply for admission through COMEDK counselling procedure.

KCET 2026 registrations are open and candidates can submit their applications till Feb 17, 2026. The exam is scheduled for Apr23, 2026 and Apr24, 2026. The COMEDK UGET 2026 exam will be conducted on May 9, 2026. Either of these exams are required to take admission in SDM- Institute of Technology.

The BE/BTech course offered at SDM Institute of Technology is a four-year long course. The course is divided into eight semesters. Candidates can take admission by entrance-based and management quota students are admitted through merit.

More than 280 offers were made during SDM Institute of Technology BTech placements 2024. In 2023 and 2022, 294 and 430 offers were made. The number of companies visited over the past three years was 360.

According to the official report, BTech rate in 2024 and previous two years was 80%, 78% and 83%. 100 companies visited the campus and 280 offers were made during SDMIT BTech placement 2024. 

As per the NIRF report 2025, the median package recorded over the past three years at SDMIT was INR 4 LPA. The average package recorded in CSE branch was 3.5 LPA. 

Top companies such as Cognizant, Bosch and Infosys visited the campus during the recent placement drive at SDMIT. More than 100 companies visited during BTech placement 2024. In 2023 and 2022, 110 and 150 companies participated. 

According to the mandatory disclosure released, the average package recorded for ECE, ISE and CSE BTech branch was INR 3.5 LPA. For BTech branch EEE, Mechanical and Civil, the average package in 2024 was 3 LPA. 

According to SDMIT NIRF report 2025, the median package recorded during BTech placement 2024 was INR 4 LPA. During the placement season 2023 and 2022, the median package was 4 LPA as well.
