VIT University is among the most reputed colleges in South India and has a reputation for providing students with the best undergraduate programs for B.Tech degree.
The training and placement cell of VIT University is highly responsible and attracts a number of companies including the core and IT firms for the placement drives that happens round the year at the university.
For production and industrial engineering branch in VIT University, the average placement package recorded for the year 2017 was around Rs 4 to Rs 5 lakhs where around 50% of the students of the batch got placed in corporate IT companies or marketing firms like the mass recruiters TCS, Wipro, Infosys. Also the highest placement package observed for the year 2017 is around Rs 19 lakhs but the intake of students for such packages is really low being around one or two students per.
Hence I would recommend you to go for some other branch at the University if placements are only what you're looking for or if you are really passionate about the branch you can go for it anytime.

It was established in 1969 and is one of the oldest engineering branches in Manipal and has its reputation.
I can say that faculty is not 100% best, not more than 4 to 5 professors are good with their subjects. Professors are really good and are ready to help you. The course structure is pretty good and equivalent to BITS (HOD used to be from BITS).
Excellent chemical engineering laboratories - Mass Transfer, Heat Transfer and a State of the art Process Control lab. The computer lab equipped with all the engineering software - CAD, Aspen, Matlab.
Practice School Policy. Students can do their final year projects outside the institution like - CSIR labs, Honeywell etc.,
Coming to the important section placements if your goal is to get a job in service/IT industry then it's not a big deal. MIT doesn't have any sustainable relations with process industries so it's a challenge to find core chemical industries on the placement list. To my knowledge, these are the companies I've seen during my 4 years at Manipal:- Jindal Steels, Grasim textiles, Reliance, Mangalore refinery recruited students having 8 and above CGPA.

It's not very difficult for the one, who prepared thoroughly even for the mains or boards. Three months are enough to get your preparations set for WBJEE and to get remarkable results.
All you need to follow is the simple guidelines mentioned below to get the desirable branch in the desired college.
1. Stop believing in rumors, and if someone says that you cannot do it, or the time is less . Just believe in yourself and your ambition
2. Before giving a start to your preparation, have a look through the WBJEE brochure, paper pattern, rules, guidelines and most importantly the syllabus.
3. List out all the topics which are not the part of the syllabus and the topics which are extra included other than the JEE syllabus.
4. Firstly start revising the whole theory keeping reference of West Bengal state board books.
5 . Start studying as hard as you can for around 6 to 7 hours a day and daily give time to each and every subject.
6. Solve the previous papers for mains and WBJEE on priority and then prefer mains books for the preparation as there are no books related to WBJEE, in the market.
At last, be focused throughout and try to increase your speed and confidence.

So both the branches find scope in the current and future world. One cannot distinguish both on the basis of the earnings as it may vary from person to person as well as locality.
Although it depends on person to person that which stream he/she wants to choose and want to pursue his or her career in.
One thing common in both the fields is that they provide a large scope in research.
When coming to campus drives and placements, the chemical aspirants have more packages offered than agriculture students and also have more chances of abroad placements.
So, practically one should go for the chemical branch for a better lifestyle in future. Also, it is difficult for one to get into chemical than agriculture.
At last, whatever branch you chose from the both, pursue it from a well-renowed government or automous institution or top private institution otherwise it may be a struggle for you after 4 years.

A degree doesn't matter if anyone is talented and the best idea about this is that he or she can do anything which they want to. In B.Tech, they learn about this but many learners learn just by seeing others or via Google. The special thing about web development is that pretty much all the learning materials you ever need is available online that too for free, there's nothing you can't learn on your own without going through 4-years of college and getting a CS degree. But getting a CS degree won't hurt, especially when you're not sure what to do or lack the skill set to land a programmer job. When it comes to getting a job as a web developer, the absolute most important thing is your portfolio, e.g. the open source projects you contributed to, your GitHub account, well-designed personal projects you built etc. Many start-up founders here don't have a degree, Countless opportunities are open to software developers with all sorts of background, with or without a degree. When it comes to hiring, CS degree is nice, but it tends to have very low signal on a candidate's ability, lots of people with CS degree yet they're still a mediocre programmer.

The placements from NIT Jamshedpur are well and quality oriented.
Though the placements from B.Tech are good, still the specialisation in the degree adds up to the chances of a quality placement.

4. Olympiad Mode
Students who have been selected for training in Informatics, Science, Mathematics and Linguistics to represent India in the International Olympiads during class XI and XII are eligible under this mode.

If you are taking up the branch of manufacturing science and engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur just because you are not eligible for getting any other branches in the same college then one thing is sure that you will end up with a minimum placement of around 7 to 9 lacs, in some of the corporate companies, IT firms that show up for the placement drive in the college.
Although if manufacturing science engineering really excites you and you are passionate about the branch then you might consider pursuing the same at the college.
But if you are expecting a number of high-quality core placements then you will be in for a great amount of disappointment that the college being an Indian Institute of Technology fails to provide with good core placements in the field. But if you want to increase your prospects of getting want to increase your prospects of getting placed inner core manufacturing science company then you must consider doing your Masters from overseas.
