Harcourt Butler Technical University, also known as HBTU is among good universities in Kanpur. CSE is one of the finest branch here. A lot of good companies visit the campus for recruitment. Some of the companies are ACCENTURE, Adobe, Amazon, IBM, Idea Cellular Services. Infosys, ITC, etc. The average package is around Rs 4 to Rs 5 lakhs per annum. The faculties here are quite good. JEE is the tough exam in which student really prepare hard to crack the exam and the syllabus prepared by the board cover all the portion of class 11th and 12th but BITSAT exam is also one of the tough exam in which one has to score more than 300 marks in the exam for getting admission in BITS Pilani. In BITSAT exam there is a more portion which is english and logic reasoning so this portion needs some more attention in which if a student really practices this problem then he or she can solve all most all problem correctly.
These two part are bonus point if someone prepared all other portion perfectly. After completing the chapter try to practice through the previous year question and try to solve the problem before time and if any question left unsolved then try to overcome these question so that in exam you can solve the question which gives you confidence. No extra work just practice previous year question and the two more portions english and logical reasoning question.

Well, when you are talking about Symbiosis it is a well-renowned institute in the country which caters to various courses including engineering, management, and science.
Talking about mechanical engineering it is one of the finest institutes to study in and one can expect to be on the top after completing the degree from Symbiosis. Well, a mechanical branch is the top most branch of engineering with the complex handling of the machine automatically developed the design and research and development in the filled with machine mostly.
So if you are from Symbiosis then you can be a top getter in the career.
The area in the career is:-Design, R&D, production, manufacturing etc.
The companies visiting the campus are:-TATA, Indian Navy, Nissan, ISGEC, Bombardier, Maruti Suzuki for core branch and HDFC TCS for support activity.
The minimum package can range from Rs 3.5 lakh per annum and highest can be around Rs 7 lakh offered rarely to a mechanical student.
As compared to CSE/IT mechanical guys can not get that much package but after the experience, they are at the top position. I wish all the candidate luck.

BE placements from Jadavpur university are far better as compared to other institutions of Bengal.
There is a large scope for civil engineers in both corporate as well as the North East India, where Jadavpur university students find a path to do better in future.
Talking about the average placements from the university, it is been around Rs 6.5 lakh per annum, the highest being Rs 15 lakh and lowest being Rs 3 lakh.
Since there are many companies visiting for non-civil fields then also civil students participating and getting selected are contributing to high placement percentage.
Though overall, university is very nice, but one should get more information about the locality and culture of the university before taking admission as it may not suit the north Indian as told to me by one of my seniors.
Also, the admission process is through West Bengal JEE conducted every year where one has to perform the best for getting into a civil branch of the most elite institution of Bengal.

50% of the students opting for automobile engineering go for further studies. Some students with higher gpa and other good records get placed in core companies. Many get placed in IT companies. Even many of the bright students get placed in IT. There could many reasons :
There are many many companies recruiting from MIT Manipal but the problem is what to choose, core company or IT company?
First of all take this very seriously, the life of an engineer at a production company is tough. I do not mean to scare you, but it is true, unfortunately. Its not like at the IT companies where you can get a lot of time and also a good city. However you will become a tough person gradually. So to answer the question that some of you guys have asked Which to prefer: IT company or core company?
If you want to join a core company for the money, youll be surprised! An IT company will give you a similar payout after 3-4 years and would also give you lot of options to witch companies and also other benefits. I suggest you join a core company if and only if you actually like Mechanical or automobile engineering! Else, you'll end up frustrated. Another reason you will join the core company is because you may not like sitting continuously for 8 hours.
The Core experience helps a lot for MS admissions to a good university abroad and getting a research project / research assistant position under a professor and getting a job after MS. They love it if you have any industry experience. The underline however is that the project should be related to your specialization during your Masters.

COEP is among the best institutes for planning engineering in India. Perhaps it is not so impressive in terms of treatments and exposure you will get from COEP is just fairly decent.
