The placement from TNAU for food processing engineering is not up to the mark as the placement from agricultural as well as farm related streams. The companies are definitely visiting the campus but students getting placed in the stream are not even around 80%.
As a gesture of advice, it is more worth to take admission in private institute from CSE or IT which will going to reward you more than the requested college and stream. According to me, PESIT College is much better than BMSIT because of the following reasons:
The placement of the CSE branch is very good and almost 90% of the students have been placed in PESIT. Overall the CSE branch have very good placements.and about 80% students were placed in BMSIT
The average salary was 4 lakhs per annum, highest- 16 lakh per annum.
Companies that visited- Deloitte, Amazon, Dell, TCS, Infosys, etc. for PESIT
for BMSIT average salary provided by the companies is about 3 lakh per annum and highest salary is about 12 lakh per annum.

Hi there,
Both the colleges are not very much popular for aeronautical engineering, however DSCE is some how better than MVJCE.
Here is comparision between two.

Aeronautical engineering is a study about the design and systems of an aircraft. It involves practical and theoretical understanding of materials, assembling parts, testing and maintenance of aircrafts.
Placements of aeronautical engineering is not that good as compared to cse/it branches.

The answer to this question includes political as well as logical touch although both the institutions are centrally funded. There is a large gap between the quality of students getting seats in an IIT as compared to the one getting a seat in NIT. Also, the government has to maintain a good image for the technical education system of India so the preference is given to the IITs.
