IIIT Una provides a BTech programme with three specialisations at the undergraduate level. Based on JEE Main results, IIIT Una admissions are made, and JoSAA counselling comes next. Candidates need to have received at least a 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in Class 12 in order to be eligible. Applicants who wish to apply for the JEE Main entrance exam must go to the NTA's official website. A course-by-course cutoff list is released by the counselling organisations following the application procedure. Applicants may apply if their score is at least as high as the cutoff points. In order to assign seats, candidates seeking for a BTech programme must first go through JoSAA. The qualified candidates receive seats after the selection rounds and counselling.

KEA assigns seats based on the decisions made by the candidates during the counseling process. Upon completion of the mock allocation, candidates have the opportunity to modify their selection. Candidates will have three alternatives following the KCET seat allocation results: freeze, float, and side. By paying the seat acceptance fee and obtaining the seat allotment slip, candidates who are happy with their seats can validate their assigned seats. The authority offers two rounds of therapy as part of KCET counseling in addition to an extended and a special round. First, the system will be updated with information about all the colleges and branches, as well as the amount of seats that are reserved or available in each category. Second, the system operates in a rank-wise manner during counseling.
