They both have different spans. Criminology is more related to law and criminal proceedings and M.Sc. Forensic Science is an application of all sciences to help in criminal investigation, like the collection and analysis of evidence.

For Master's degree in journalism, you need to have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and/or Mass Communication with a minimum of 50% marks. Certain universities may admit students from other streams as well.

According to me, M.Sc in forensic Science has better scope, better salary and is more in demand. Very soon, the scope will go wider as the government has approved, to open some more forensic labs throughout India.
