Yes, one of the best things about the University of Bologna is that you can pursue courses in English as well as Italian. Most of the master's programs are in English so the applicants are required to submit an English language proficiency test too. Some popular Bologna University courses are given below -

The University of Bologna does not have an application fee and it is one of the universities in Italy that does not charge any fee for applying to the university. Although, there is tution and an annual fee application at this university. The minimum fee to enrol in a programme is EUR 157.04.

Yes, SAT is an important part of the Bologna University application process. International students applying for the Bologna University admissions in 2026 should get really good SAT scores. WIth this, they need to submit the documents given below - 

  • Transcripts 
  • English language proficiency test scores
  • LORs 
  • UG degree

Based on Shiksha Popularity rankings, the University of Bologna ranks #1 in Italy and #102 in the whole world. These rankings by Shiksha are taken from the average of all the well knonw ranking bodies like the QS, US World, THE and ARWU Rankings. As per QS, Bologna University is #138 in the world. It is definitely not a surprise that this university is called the Italy's best, sometimes.

With an acceptance rate of 73%, the University of Bologna cannot be considered very selective for international students. If the applicants can meet the University of Bologna admission requirements, then they can easily get into this university. 

The basic admission requirements are a UG degree with 60 to 70 percent of score the English language proficiency for the English-taught programs and the other additional docs like LORs and all.

For studying MS in Italy, students can expect to have the tuition fee between INR 10 Lacs - INR 40 lakh. Note that a majority of the universities have the tuition fee between INR 10 Lacs - INR 30 lakh. Many universities have the tuition fees below INR 10 lakh. There are two universities in Italy (University of Genoa and University of L'Aquila) that do not have the tuition fees.

Yes, as an Indian student, you will have to clear the NEET exam. This is not it, you would also have to get minimum 50% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, in Class 12th. Also provide a Aadhaar Card, Medical Certificate, and a few passport sized photos.

Yes, as an Indian student, you can practice in India after MBBS studies in Nepal. But for that, you have to make sure you college in Nepal is NMC-approved. This is not it, you would also have to clear the FMGE or the NExT exam.
