Yes, for most students traveling internationally, extra baggage is most valuable benefit. Airlines like Lufthansa often allow two checked bags (23kg each). Indian carriers like Air India or IndiGo often allow an additional 10kg

You must show a valid student identification card at check in. You need to show your admission letter. At the time of check in some airlines ask for student visa.

You are eligibile if your age is 12 or older. Also, you must have admission in currently in college or have an acceptance letter. Check specific airline rules. Some carriers like Emirates restrict this to ages 16 to 31.

Yes, the University of Manchester campus is definitely safe. The security at the university's campus grounds is contactable 24/7, and there are surveillance cameras located throughout the area. The resident halls of the university also have swipe-card entry systems so no unsolicited person (s) can enter. Also, each residence has a team from ResLife who reside in the hall and offer guidance and assistance if required.

Yes, students can opt for private rental accommodation in close proximity to the UoM campus as well. Students can visit the website of Manchester Student Homes since it operates on behalf of the universities in Manchester to help students look for uni-approved off campus accommodation. Moreover, it provides general housing advice and listings of available properties in the private sector.
