No, work experience is considered an advantage but it is not a mandatory requirement at Langara College for international students.
This college mostly focuses on the academic grades and the English language proficiency of an applicant rather than work ex.

As per the Langara College admission requirements, Indian students do need to submit portfolios for some courses which are creative and also design-focused. Given below are the programs that require portfolios -
- A 2-year advanced Diploma in Animation, Visual Effects or Game Design
- Post-degree Diploma in Web and Mobile App
- Arts programme which are creative

As an Indian student, you would be required to meet many Langara University admission requirements like providing proof of 12 years of formal education with very competitive grades. Look at the guidelines given below -
- The grades are generally around 60% or higher.
- Indian students would also need to submit the proof of English language proficiency by taking tests like IELTS or TOEFL.

Yes, the Langara College admission deadlines are set earlier for these applicants to allow some time the study permit processing.
For the year 2026, the upcoming admission deadline is May 31, 2026 for the Fall intake which is almost 6 months prior to the start of this intake.
If admitted, to secure the seat, the international applicants would be required to pay a non-refundable deposit of CAD 6,000 (INR 3.98L).

Yes, like most of the universities and colleges in the world, the Fall intake is the most popular at Langara College. It is the case because the Fall intake is the the largest intake which offers the the highest number of programs.
Also, the Langara fall intake aligns with the academic year. Other than this intake, this college also offers the Spring intake (January) and Summer intake (May).

After the submission of an application, Langara College begins to offer admission to international students shortly after that. The acknowledgement is received in around 3 to 10 business days.
The students receive an email and the status can also be checked via the official portal as well.
For most of the competitive Langara courses, the admission letters are sent in early November.

In 2026, the format of the PTE exam continues to be the same as it was last year.
- The exam is 2 hours long
- There are 3 sections in the exam namely -
- Part 1: Speaking & Writing
- Part 2: Reading
- Part 3: Listening
