Part-time work can impact studies as it requires additional commitment. Students must manage their time well and stay organized.
It is generally not recommended during the first months or the first year in Italy, when it's better to focus on adapting to university life and the new environment. However, if students can perform well both academically and at work, part-time jobs offer valuable experience to enrich their CV and foster independence.

Yes, international students can work part-time during their studies, but there are limits. Typically, students can work up to 20 hours per week during the academic year.
Working more hours in a week, is not allowed, and is strictly prohibited, during terms. Students found doing overtime would be reprimanded and may even lead to the cancellation of the Italy student visa, followed by deportation from the country.

If part-time work is part of the study plan (e.g., internship), it is recognized with credits. Extra work is not academically credited but contributes to personal growth, independence, and enhances the student's CV and future career prospects, per exclusive data shared by the university with Shiksha.
