Once the results are out, aspirants are selected based on their score in the entrance exam. Shortlisted candidates need to participate in the admission counselling. The university then offers seats to the selected candidates. Further, candidates seeking admission for B.Ed course are selected based on their merit in the last qualifying exam.

Yes, Tamil Nadu Open University offers both B.Ed and B.Ed Spl.Ed. courses in distance mode of education through Department of Education/Special Education and affiliated colleges. The course duration for both programmes is two years. Candiadtes must have passed bachelor's or master's degree in relevant subjects with at least 50% aggregate to be eligible for admission. Further, Candidates with bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with a minimum of 55% aggregate can also apply.
