As per UGC NET 2019 Eligibility you are not eligible on the basis of B. M. degree only. The detailed eligibility criteria is as under.
1. Age:- He/ she must not be more than 28 years as on January 1, 2019 for applying for Junior Research Fellowship. A relaxation of up to 5 years is provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
2. Academic Qualification :- For candidates who wish to appear for NET 2019 conducted by UGC, they must clear all the defined standards. Given below is the eligibility criteria to appear for NTA UGC NET 2019:
Candidate must have scored at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST, OBC- NCL, PwD) in Masters Degree or equivalent examination from university recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science etc. To be eligible for UGC NET 2019. Candidates who are presently in the final year of their Masters programme or those who are waiting for their final year results can appear for UGC NET 2019 test.

All the questions will be of Objective type question. There is no additional weightage to any specific section or part of the test paper in terms of marking scheme. All the questions in both the test papers will carry 2 marks for each correct answer. As per the Negative Marking Scheme, 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. In the Test Paper 1, there will be 100 questions in total. 50 questions for Part A and 50 questions for Part B. In Part A questions will be asked about General Knowledge which will include various topics like history, geography, politics, current affair, sports etc. In Part B questions are intended to test language skills. Applicant can choose Hindi or English any language. General Topics will be covered in both the language like in English: Paragraph, Tense accuracy, Synonyms / Antonyms, Idioms & Phrases, Vocabulary enhancement etc. And in Hindi: Vyaakaran (Grammer); Upasarg your Pratyay (Prefixes / Suffixes); Gadyaansh (Paragraphs); Sandhi / Samaas (Creating Words with mixing 2 or more words)
In the Test paper 2 there will be 100 questions in total. 50 questions for Part A and 50 questions for Part B. In Part A questions will be asked about General Aptitude which will include various topics like reasoning and analysis, coding & decoding, puzzle, number system & symbol series, time and distance, interest calculation, profit and loss etc. In Part B questions are intended to test Subject Ability as is selected by applicant. Topics from the subject are based on 11th, 12th and Graduation syllabus. So, it makes it considerably vast syllabus.
