Yes, you can definitely apply for the UGC NET Exam if you have completed the Masters in the Library Sciences, the aspirant completed the Master's degree from the IGNOU or distance learning programme is applicable to apply for the UGC NET Exam. To appear in the UGC NET Exam, you need to complete the Masters in the Library Science with around 55 % marks in the programme. Let me introduce you with the UGC NET exam and the selection for lectureship. UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) is an entrance exam which is conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) for the post of Assistant Professor and for Junior Research Fellowship. Candidates can appear in UGC NET for one of the above mentioned. To appear in UGC NET, you must have completed Master's degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.

Hello Akanksha,
The UGC NET and CSIR NET exams are conducted for the selection of lecturer in university, to pursue the PhD and for junior research fellowship. The CSIR NET Exam is conducted for the science stream candidates while the UGC NET exam is conducted for the other stream candidates. The candidates are allowed to apply for the subject of their post-graduation subject and its related subjects only.
