Yes, you can definitely apply for the UGC NET Exam if you have completed the Masters in the Library Sciences, the aspirant completed the Master's degree from the IGNOU or distance learning programme is applicable to apply for the UGC NET Exam. To appear in the UGC NET Exam, you need to complete the Masters in the Library Science with around 55 % marks in the programme. The UGC NET Exam is mainly conducted for the aspirants those want to make a career in the lectureship and research programme. There is no age limit to apply in the UGC NET Exam. To avail the scholarship worth INR 25000 per month you need to clear the JRF Exam. The UGC NET and CSIR NET exams are conducted for the selection of lecturer in university, to pursue the PhD and for junior research fellowship. The CSIR NET Exam is conducted for the science stream candidates while the UGC NET exam is conducted for the other stream candidates. The candidates are allowed to apply for the subject of their post-graduation subject and its related subjects only.
CSIR NET Exam is conducted for the earth science, physical science, chemical science, mathematical science and life science as you have completed M.Sc in zoology you may apply for the CSIR NET life science or other related subject.
