Yes, you can definitely apply for the UGC NET Exam if you have completed the Masters in the Library Sciences, the aspirant completed the Master's degree from the IGNOU or distance learning programme is applicable to apply for the UGC NET Exam. To appear in the UGC NET Exam, you need to complete the Masters in the Library Science with around 55 % marks in the programme. The UGC NET and CSIR NET exams are conducted for the selection of lecturer in university, to pursue the PhD and for junior research fellowship. The CSIR NET Exam is conducted for the science stream candidates while the UGC NET exam is conducted for the other stream candidates. The candidates are allowed to apply for the subject of their post-graduation subject and its related subjects only.
