A postgraduate Diploma is not equal to the postgraduate degree. Both are the different and post graduate Diploma holders are not eligible to apply for the UGC NET exam.
For the UGC NET exam, you must have the minimum qualification of the master degree with at least of 55% marks in his or her master degree.
So, if you have done master degree in any stream with at least of 55% marks, then only you are eligible to apply for the same.

You can go for B.Ed if you have an inclination towards the same. Other options available are MBA, M.Sc. In Electronics. The best course you need to decide on your own as it totally depends on your interest.

B.Ed is not required for lecturer job in colleges. You just need a Post Graduation degree with good academic record to get job in private colleges. If you are looking for Government college lecturer job then you have to clear exams like UGC-NET/SLET.
B.Ed is only necessary for getting teaching job in schools. Hence, don't worry if you don't have B.Ed qualification. If you have Post Graduation then you can apply for job in various private colleges directly for interview. You have to clear interview for getting the job. If you have aim of getting a Government University lecturer job then be prepared for exams like UGC NET or SLET.
