Pass out in 12th is a basic qualification required to pursue JBT course. Admission to the course depends on the marks obtained in qualifying exam. Application forms can be collected either from the administrative office or web portal of the concerned institute. From the pool of received applications, candidates are short listed on the basis of their marks.
Few colleges or universities offer admission on the basis of entrance tests. Institutes under Himachal Pradesh Board of Education, offer admission to JBT course on the basis of one common entrance test, JBT CET. Hindi, English, Numerical Ability and General Awareness form the syllabus

Candidates who have completed their Bachelors of Education (B.Ed) are eligible for the Basic Training Certificate (BTC), which is mandatory for serving as assistant teachers in primary schools of Uttar Pradesh. Graduate candidates with Bachelors of Education degree are eligible for the post of primary and higher Primary teachers. Recruitment of which is scheduled to be completed before January, 2012. The eligibility criteria to pursue B.Ed is graduation degree in any subject. You are eligible to get admission in B.Ed. You are advised to look at detailed eligibility criterion of targeted institutes where you want to do B.Ed.

In case, you want regular B.Ed, then apply for entrance or else, you can opt for distance education.
