ICFAI University Nagaland provides a special reservation of seats for domicile candidates. There is a reservation of 25% of the total number of seats in the BCA course for the candidates. In case the reserved seats are left vacant, the seats are offered to the candidates from the open category. Candidates who have cleared the admission process can secure their seat by paying the course fee.

The university accepts admission based on the application sent by the candidates followed by an interview, wherein the university evaluates its applicants based on their academic qualifications and other co-curricular activities. For the PhD programme, admission is entrance-based. Aspiring candidates must qualify for the eligibility criteria set by the institute for the desired course.
