All international students require a study permit or student visa to get into the Australia. The government of Australia issues a student visa also known as subclass 500, that allows you to live, work and study in the Australia for a maximum of 5 years, in line with your course. This student visa allows international students to work while studying for a maximum of 40 hours pre fortnight during the term time and unlimited hours during the study break. The Australian government will take a fee of AUD $650 per visa application for a student visa from international students.

The assessment of the University of Melbourne application will take approximately 2-4 weeks for UG courses. In case of the PG courses, the assessment of the application will take around 4-8 weeks. And, the assessment of the applications of the majority of the research degrees may take 8 to 12 weeks, but, some PG schools assess the applications in round on the specific dates.

Tuition fee for international students is charged for each year. Tuition fee is payable according to specific enrolment in any given semester. Tuition fee of student will depend on type and number of subjects you will take, and you will pay according to the subjects you are studying and not your degree. The total tuition fee payable will be provided when you are offered a place at the University of Melbourne. The tuition fee for international students starting their classes is around INR 24 Lacs - 32 Lakh.

The Bachelor of Science (BSc) at the University of Melbourne is a 3 years full-time course. Indian students must have completed the following subjects with minimum scores to be eligible for entry to this course. These subjects are; English, Mathematics, and of Biology, Chemistry or Physics. International students are required to pay an application fee after submitting their application form to the university. For the full-time MBA, the programme fee for international students is AUD 99,630. Various MBA scholarships are also offered to international students by the University of Melbourne such as Dean's International Management Scholarship, Diversity Excellence Scholarships, Kraft Heinz Scholarship etc.
