International students either take the Graduate Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) or the North American Medical Colleges Admission Test (MCAT) by the deadline for admission to medical in the University of Melbourne. Applicants can apply for admission in medical programme online through the 'University of Melbourne Course Application Portal'. They may require to attend an Interview is selected for the program.

Monash University and the University of Melbourne, both are reputed universities in Australia. The choice between the two completely depends on individual preference, course choice, academic and fee structure. If students want a comparison of the acceptance policy then the University of Melbourne follows an easy acceptance policy with a 70% acceptance rate. On the other hand, Monash University follows quite tough selection criteria with a 40% acceptance rate.

Indian students must pay the non-refundable University of Melbourne appliction fees to submit the admision application. However, students not be charged the application fee if they meet any of the following criteria:

  • You are a current University of Melbourne student
  • You are a current Trinity College Foundation Studies student
  • You have been given a waiver form signed by a University of Melbourne staff member at an exhibition or interview session
