Yes, the University of Queensland admissions are very competitive. There are few seats available for admission and yet a huge number of applications are received each year. A limited number of students get through the admission process at the University of Queensland. The admission process is not an easy one and requires numerous assessments, thorough scrutiny, and an understanding of a student's passion for studies.

For the University of Queensland admissions, the acceptance rate is around 40%, which might fluctuate depending on the number of applications received. The acceptance rate is on the lower side because admission applications at UQ are assessed with a lot of scrutiny. Also, its one of the leading research-intensive universities, and a lot of focus goes on understanding the applicant's academic background and possibilities of him/her for future research-related innovation in the future.
