Both institutions are very similar in terms of their selectiveness at admitting students, with, West Virginia University acceptance rate standing at 77%, while that of University of Rhode Island stands at 75%.
There isn't much between them & securing a seat at either institute is challenging to similar extents, with WVU, being marginally easier to secure admissions at.

Yes, URI offers a number of scholarships to its domestic & international student population that ranges between USD 3,000-USD 20,000 (INR 86,000-INR 17.3 L) a year.

The University of Rhode Island has housed many popular individuals over its near 130-year old history.
It has been home to a number of sportspersons, media personalities, the US Army & the US Government people.
Some popular URI alumni include: Micheal Flynn, John King, Tony Horton, Robert Ballard & Rick Moser among others.

The University of Rhode Island has campuses in Kingston & Narragansett, both based in Rhodes Island. The main campus is located about 50km south of Providence, 120km from Boston, & about 260km from New York City.
The campus offers an array of world class academic & recreational facilities, including a state-of-the-art library, dining halls & sports grounds & turfs that host the United States' premier college sports competition: the NCAA Championships.

Students live as part of university owned or maintained residential halls based on-campus. Some popular residential halls include: Adams Hall, Aldrich Hall, Bressler Hall, Brookside Hall, & Browning Hall among others.
Accommodation is available in the form of full-air-conditioned rooms that are equipped with beds, desks & drawers.
Other housing facilities include: freshly cooked meals, study & recreational halls, shared laundry & bathroom facilities among others.
Some students also live as part of apartments & suite-based off-campus housing near the university campus.

The University of Rhode Island campus is considered an engineering marvel offering a plethora of academic & recreational facilities to students.
The institute's campus was ranked the “3rd Most Beautiful Coastal College Campus” in the United States by a prominent campus ranking platform.
The only institutions to pip URI in the rankings were Pepperdine University, Malibu & the University of San Diego.

The University of Rhode Island acceptance rate stands at around 75%, whereas that of Rockford University is 57%. While both institutions are selective at granting admissions, that too to varying degrees, the University of Rhode Island is comparatively easier to secure admissions at than Rockford.
Prospective students must maintain a solid academic record & a professional resume highlighting their achievements to have a decent chance of admissions at either institute.

Students can opt to add their GRE scores as part of their application, as it boosts the overall impression of their application in the eyes of the university's admissions team.

The university does not specify a minimum GPA score as part of its admission requirements, however, as per data curated from an unofficial source, the minimum GPA deemed acceptable for admission at URI is 3.64 on a scale of 4.0.
Students must perform really well in their school & college level academics, getting a majority of A's to have a good chance of securing a seat at the institute.
