Student completed Bachelor degree or is in last year of Bachelor degree can appear for TISSNET. Moreover, the background of the student doesn't matter.
TISSNET eligibility requires candidates to meet the below mentioned criteria:
1. A Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration or equivalent from a recognized authority in any discipline.2. Candidates in their final year of graduation degree are eligible to apply for TISSNET.3. Candidates studying in the final year of their graduation but have not passed in all the subjects of their previous years are not eligible to apply for any of the masters' courses offered by TISS.4. There are no age-limit criteria.5. There is no restriction on the number of attempts.

Both courses are designed for helping marginalized section of India. Course structure are beautifully developed and thought by finest teacher of India. Both the courses comprises classroom as well as field work, which is very helpful in understanding marginalized section.
Livelihood and social entrepreneurship- MA programme is grounded on the understanding that livelihood promotion, social innovation and social entrepreneurship development takes place in the institutional context of co- production, which implies that social workers not only interface with volunteers, individuals and community groups, but also with policy makers, civil servants and corporates.
CODP-enhancement and development of newer strategies to serve the interests of the disadvantaged populations. Further, understanding local situations and working with communities to address key concerns is as critical today as being able to see national and international connections of these very concerns in the globalizing world.
Alumni of both the courses are working in eminent organization of India. Both courses have good placement.
