The First Graduate Certificate is issued by the Tamil Nadu government to those candidates who will receive fee concessions or scholarships. In such candidates' families, they will be the first graduate, and no other person in the family is a graduate. This first graduation Certificate is issued by a Tahsildar-rank government officer. It is mandatory only for those candidates who have selected this option while filling out the TNEA application form. It is not essential to participate in counseling but is required during document verification if you selected the option of a first-time graduate on your application form.

Hello Vishal, First graduate is not an essential Certificate to participate in TNEA counselling. If you are a first graduate and if you want reduction in the college fee, then only you can submit the first graduate. Otherwise, if you don't provide First graduate Certificate you won't get the fee reduction. You can also provide the first graduate Certificate during the second year in the respective college to get the fee reduction.
