Top colleges (CEG, PSG, MIT Chennai): Require very high marks and ranks (cutoff 198+ out of 200; ranks below 1,500).

Mid-tier colleges: Cutoffs around 192–197; ranks between 3,000 to 10,000+.

Other colleges: Lower cutoffs (170–190) and ranks from 10,000 up to 80,000+ offer seats in many private/self-financing colleges.

With a cutoff of 195.5 with BC category you have a good chances of getting via TNEA counselling are Anna University, PSG College of Technology, Thiagarajar college of engineering, RMK engineering college, Velammal engineering college etc.

Students willing to enroll into Thiagarajar College of Engineering BTech courses must apply for TNEA counselling. It is a Unified Single Window Admission System for Indian Nationals only. The exact TNEA counselling dates are not available. However, the application dates have been released by Anna University. The TNEA 2025 registration window is open for BE/BTech courses, and the last date is Jun 6, 2025.
