Yes, TNEA counselling is important for the students who want to take admission in BTech at Jayalakshmi Institute of Technology. The final selection is merit-based for BTech admissions, followed by TNEA counselling. Students must participate in counselling to complete the admission process and pay fees to confirm admission.

For students with average cutoffs, TNEA counselling colleges in Kanyakumari 2026 still offer good chances if you choose wisely.TNEA is based on your 12th marks, and you'll get a rank. During choice filling, pick a mix of top, moderate, and safe colleges. Even if you don't get top colleges in the first round, you can still get good options and upgrade later. For example, Rohini College of Engineering and Technology is often chosen by students with average cutoffs as it offers multiple courses and placement support.

Top colleges (CEG, PSG, MIT Chennai): Require very high marks and ranks (cutoff 198+ out of 200; ranks below 1,500).

Mid-tier colleges: Cutoffs around 192–197; ranks between 3,000 to 10,000+.

Other colleges: Lower cutoffs (170–190) and ranks from 10,000 up to 80,000+ offer seats in many private/self-financing colleges.

Now choice is yours choose accordingly and best of luck for your future
