As per the Graduate Outcomes data, the overall positive outcome for entire University was 96.75%. Arts, Humanities and Cultures noted a positive outcome of 96.11%, Biological Sciences noted a positive outcome of 96.27%, Business noted a positive outcome of 97.56%, Education, Social Sciences and Law noted a positive outcome of 97.26%, Engineering noted a positive outcome of 95.51%, Environment noted a positive outcome of 96.4%, Mathematics and Physical Sciences noted a positive outcome of 95.52%, and Medicine and Health noted the highest positive outcome of 99.31%. By positive outcome, it means the percentage of graduates in employment or further study as percentage of those who were available for employment.

University of Leeds provides various career services to its students in order to increase their employability. There is information, advice and guidance to help students decide, plan and compete including: 

• Students can decide where they are in their career planning journey and can get help with what to do next
• Student can gain access to career information and career events that are organised to support students in making career choices

• Finding jobs and work experience support includes advice on how to find jobs and work experience, working abroad and finding out how to gain skills that employers look for. In addition, various networking opportunities are available for the students through workshops, fairs, etc.
• CV, applications and interviews support and review help the students in making the best applications and be successful at interviews and assessment centres

The University of Leeds provides various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees in a number of subjects. As per the Research Excellence Framework 2021, 90% of the University’s research was categorized as either world-leading or internationally excellent. In case of its position on ranking indices, it has been ranked at 86th position on the QS World University Rankings in 2023, 128th position on the Times Higher Education Rankings in 2023, 75th position on the Leiden rankings in 2021, and 151-200th position on Shanghai Rankings 2022. As for its position in the UK, it has been ranked in the top 20 Universities in both the Complete University Guide and the Guardian.
