The UPTAC cutoff for the BTech programme at DSMNRU may vary each year. Moreover, according to the BTech UPTAC cutoff 2024 of DSMNRU, the most competitive specialisations are Computer Science and Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science). UPTAC ranks are required for admission to BTech courses at the Dr. Virendra Swarup Group of Institutions. The ranks for admission in 2025 varied from 1081776 to 1421228 based on different rounds, the category to which the student belongs, and the specialisation of BTech in which the student is interested. Yes, you can get admission to the B.E. / B.Tech programs at Dr. Virendra Swarup Group of Institutions (VSGOI) even if you don't appear for UPTAC.
While UPTAC (Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling) is a common admission process for engineering courses in Uttar Pradesh, VSGOI also offers direct admission based on your performance in JEE Main or 12th-grade marks. If you qualify through these routes, you can secure a seat without necessarily going through UPTAC.
