VIT Vellore MBA admission is based on XAT/ MAT/ NMAT entrance exam scores. Whereas for the SSN College of Engineering, MBA admission is based on a valid TANCET score. Talking about the cutoff, VIT Vellore XAT and MAT percentile were 70 and 80, respectively. For SSN, the 2023 TANCET score was 251. So, comparing the cutoff score, VIT Vellore is more competitive than SSN College of Engineering. 

Talking about other aspects like ranking, VIT Vellore is ranked 17 and SSNCE at 80 under the “overall” category in the NIRF 2023 rankings. The MBA fee in SSNCE is INR 35,000 and for VIT MBA it is INR 7 lakh. Hence, VIT is a better choice in terms of ranking. However, the fee is more economical at SSN College of Engineering. The last year’s cutoff rank for MCA course at VIT Vellore was around 240-250.  Aspirants seeking admission to the Program should have passed Bachelor’s Degree of Minimum 3 Years duration in BCA, B.Sc (IT/Computer Science) with Mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate Level. Obtained at least 60% or 1st Class at the qualifying Examination. Additionally, undergraduate students in their final year can apply for the MCA programs.

VIT conducts VITMEE to offer admission in these courses. VITMEE is a computer-based test. Final admission is subject to an interview round of the shortlisted candidates. Apart from VITMEE, GATE-qualified qualified candidates are also eligible to apply. Application forms for MCA courses can be filled out online with a payment of INR 1121 as an application fee.
