Progressive but not enough.

Placements: Placements were the worst. Commerce and law faculty members were the best for placements. CMP Degree College was a good choice for students who were looking for a secure career after graduation, as the placement cell of the college actively helped them get the right opportunities.

Infrastructure: Our college provided good laboratory with full of light, full space, and chemicals. CMP Degree College was a premier constituent college of Allahabad University, spread over 21 acres. It offered various UG/PG courses in arts, science, commerce, and law. College had facilities like modern classrooms, laboratories, a large library, gym, cafeteria, and hostels, which helped in the all-round development of the students.

Faculty: Teachers were supportive. Exam was best on semester-wise, and good marks were obtained. M.Sc. Chemistry course at CMP Degree College was a two-year course, admission to which was done through the PGAT exam of Allahabad University. Experienced faculty members provided specialisation in physical, inorganic, and organic chemistry. The course included both theory and practical. Teachers were good.

Other: Both were almost good here.

My M.Sc. journey in Allahabad.

Placements: However, there were no direct placements after the course, but students studying at C.M.P. Degree College had a bright future, I guess, if they wanted to pursue further. With the support of exposure during the M.Sc. program, students got the right idea to go further in the field.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was not honestly something to boast about, but in reality, it was not very good. But studies there were exceptional. Labs, classrooms, and the library were very well maintained. Well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, and a huge library offered a lot to students. The college had a canteen as well, but it didn't offer a great variety. But it could save you from dying of hunger. The medical, sports, and games facilities were great there.

Faculty: Highly qualified professionals, with their advanced knowledge, helped students a lot by guiding them about their careers. The curriculum was very relevant and offered great exposure during the course. Semester exams were organized, and the pass percentage was 34%, as expected, this meant 33% failed.

Other: I chose M.Sc. Zoology as I was very much fascinated by the zoological field and would have loved to explore it. The course, though, needed to become more aligned with real life, as merely traditional teaching wouldn't have done much for students, as the world was ready to embrace AI in everything. We needed to improvise the course from time to time.

I was very much satisfied with the Chaudhary Mahadev Prasad Degree College and its faculty members.

Placements: The course fee is Rs. 20,000 per year. We had 2 years of programme. Out of 60, around 20 students made their way ahead in Ph.D. and the rest are preparing for UGC/CSIR NET. Many are working in labs as well. Few are pursuing some other fields as per their interest.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average, nothing much eye-catching but still was overall good. Construction was going on at that time. Roads were being constructed at that time. We had water logging issue but now, it's all good and fine. They had painted the college and it looks good now.

Faculty: Our teachers are amazing. The curriculum was superb and the way they conducted exams was awesome. They had good and managing schedules for our exams, workshops, internships, etc. We were taken to Lucknow, IFFCO, Varanasi, and many more for our workshops. It was all good.

Other: We had fests, freshers, farewell, internships, workshops, etc. The whole 2 years passed like nothing and we enjoyed our M.Sc. Journey.

Absolutely amazing collage among all the colleges affiliated with Allahabad University.

Placements: I'm currently pursuing a master's degree in Chemistry. It is evident that from our department, there are 5 students who cracked JRF rank in the previous NET exam, and the law department has many more placements. From our Chemistry department, one of our scholars, Ashutosh Mishra is placed at South Denmark University with the package of 12 lakh per month. In our course, there are many more facilities for placement in the pharma industries for the post of lab assistant. 8-10% of each batch is placed from here and Rojgaar Mela is also organized, where many global and national companies participate.

Infrastructure: In our college, classrooms are clean and well-maintained, with desks and benches. Labs are rich, with apparatus required for each and every practical and the essential chemicals are also present. I have a very grateful experience of the lab here. There is a departmental library for Chemistry students. There is a central library, having facilities like air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and the best books from both Indian and foreign authors.

Faculty: In our department, most of the teachers are JRF-qualified in chemistry and are well-experienced in teaching. The experimental knowledge of a few professors seems to be very extraordinary, because they have great knowledge of chemical analytics. Exams are quite difficult, but the support and the conceptual lectures provided by the professors are very relevant and completely helpful in the exam.

Allahabad University Oxford of the East.

Placements: Allahabad University, Oxford of the east has a lot of students from different zones of India studying higher education. The average salary package offered is about 15 LPA - 20 LPA or above. Top recruiting companies are Tata Steel, Jio Digital, etc.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure in our department are very good. Our labs are useful. In the library, there is a central library. We find all types of books in different areas or courses. Facilities in our hostel are very good. The food available in the mess is very good. Sports and games are played every day as Khelo India by Indian Government.

Faculty: Our teachers are from well-qualified institutes like IIT, IISC, and central universities. They are very polite and helpful. As we know the competition is reserved day by day, and the difficulty of semester exams also rises in universities.

Almost average college for those who are belonging to weak family.

Placements: The placement cell is not good; only 2-3 companies come to hire students for higher education. I passed my M.Sc. from CMP College, but no companies came to offer placements. It is very common for CMP students to go to Allahabad University for their placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is also very bad. They need to refurbish the whole college. When it rains, the whole college gets flooded, and that day, the college announces a holiday. There is no place to use the washrooms properly. They should build quality washrooms for males as well as females.

Faculty: The average college faculty is good, but the infrastructure is not. They should work on it. The garden inside the college is given to someone else (coaching institutes), so CMP students are not taking advantage of the garden, which is not good.

Other: CMP College is a government college, which provides relief through its fees; that is the only advantage of this college.
